Shabba

Shabba (Herve Antenor) Shabba, born Hervé Anténor on September 1, 1969, in Cap-Haitien, Haiti, is a renowned drummer, singer, songwriter, and hype man. He began showing percussion skills at the age of 12 and started playing church drums. Influenced by zouk, soca, and bands like Septen and Tropicana, Shabba is a self-taught musician. He began his musical career in 1996 with the Kanel group and later joined Djakout Mizik in 1999, finding stability until he formed Djakout #1 in 2010. In January 2020, after high-profile incidents, he left Djakout #1 to create Ekip with Steeve Khe and Ti Reg.
